Our original group of 14 shrank 50% due to illness, injury or other obligations.   Gusty snow and slushy, icy roads made us rethink our original destination of Remsen Falls.

Per Jim Waz  “After slipping and sliding to arrive at the meeting place, we unanimously agreed to change the hike to the Deerfield Wilderness Park. Though the weather left much to be desired, we enjoyed a virtual fire, hot dogs and brandy cider. Footing was tricky and microspikes helped navigate the snow covered icy trail.”  

All agreed it was great to get out and take a hike following a very rainy and dreary week of weather!
